BEER BATTERED COD
Coated in a homemade beer batter, these fried fish and chips are crunchy and ridiculously addictive.
YIELD: 5-6 servings
ACTIVE TIME: 10 min
TOTAL TIME: 15 min
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 185°F.
- Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper in large bowl. Add egg and beer to dry ingredients, mix to combine.
- Dip fish into batter, then carefully lower one piece at a time into the fryer. Fry fish, turning once, until both sides are golden brown, about 7 minutes per batch. Place fish on paper towel lined sheet pan and continue process with remaining fish.
- Sprinkle with salt and serve with yukon gold, sweet potato fries and/or chips.
